Services

As the owner of a CFM engine, you want to maximize your asset's marketability and ensure it receives the full range of CFM's world-class support.

AIRLINE SERVICES

Rate per Flight Hour

To provide long-term support for the new LEAP engine family entering service in 2016, CFM is offering a unique Rate per Flight Hour (RPFH) program.  Under the terms of these comprehensive multi-year services and support agreements, CFM will guarantee engine maintenance costs on a dollar per engine flight hour basis.

AIRLINE SERVICES

Rate per Flight Hour

CFM and its parent companies are committed to help its airline customers keep one of their most important assets flying.  Through GE and Snecma, as well as the joint venture created with Air China in 2010, CFM56 customers can have the advantages of working directly with the engine OEM, having their fleet overhauled by the company that built them in the first place.  Programs range from conventional time and materials to RPFH agreements.

MRO SERVICES

CFM has strong relationships with the world’s leading third-party MRO providers that give customers the benefit of choosing a provider while still enjoying the benefits of genuine CFM parts.

In addition to new parts, CFM can also provide high-quality used, serviceable parts through the CFM Materials joint venture launched by GE and Snecma in 2010.

MATERIALS

Genuine CFM56 parts are tested and proven. After selecting the most reliable engine in the world, keep it that way by insisting on genuine CFM replacement parts.

PROVEN

Only 100 percent CFM parts have been tested as part of a complete working engine. They've demonstrated the right properties, tolerances and downstream system effects.

Only authentic CFM parts are backed by a legacy of 400 million flight hours of experience. No other aircraft engine manufacturer can match this distinction.

When you choose the real thing, you'll also have the reassurance of knowing it’s backed by an extensive product support network. CFM stands behind every part we supply.

CFM engines must meet the rigorous safety standards of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) before they are certified. CFM engines are tested under severe conditions that replicate every foreseeable flight condition.

BREAKTHROUGH

CFM and its parent companies have been leaders in high temperature and composite materials technology development for decades. The next generation of composite fan blade has been developed for the LEAP engine using a Resin Transfer Molding (RTM) process that makes the blades stronger and more durable.

CFM is also the leader in development and incorporation of Ceramic Matrix Composites, which are capable of withstanding temperatures several hundred degrees higher than that of current Ni-base alloys.

TRUEngine

As the owner of a CFM engine, you want to maximize your asset's marketability and ensure it receives the full range of CFM's world-class support.

Qualification of CFM engines in the TRUEngine program serves as a method for identifying engines that have been maintained in accordance with CFM-issued recommendations, such as the Engine Shop Manual (ESM).

The TRUEngine program was developed in response to a growing industry need to better understand engine material content as assets are evaluated and redistributed. TRUEngine qualification ensures CFM's ability to provide full support for the engine, which is a key aspect of the value of the CFM engines.

Appraisers and buyers can quickly confirm an engine's qualification status by serial number. As CFM expands and improves the TRUEngine program, customers should contact their CFM representative to learn more about new benefits, or email truengine@cfm56.com.

QUICK FACTS:

TRUEngine status:

  • Is a free program, with no cost to qualify or receive benefits.
  • Ensures CFM is able to provide optimal technical and product support.
  • Is not permanent or contractual. Status remains in effect until next shop visit (requalification), configuration change, or owner/operator choice to decline.
  • Is granted on an individual ESN basis… not by customer or fleet.
  • Is based on maintenance records to the latest exposure of each module.

TRUEngine QUALIFICATION PROCESS

Once you've decided the TRUEngine program is right for you, the process can be initiated by contacting your CFM Representative or truengine@cfm56.com.

After a consultation with your CFM customer team, you’ll be asked to sign a letter agreement, confirming your engines have been maintained in accordance with CFM-issued recommendations, such as the Engine Shop Manual (ESM), and request qualification by submitting the TRUEngine qualification form.

To substantiate the acknowledgement of your maintenance practices, submission of maintenance records will be required for engines that have experienced a shop visit.

Records typically required to provide the necessary data for substantiation are all FAA form 8130s, memos of shipment, on-logs, and the shop visit history report. It is essential that CFM be able to verify that maintenance practices are performed in accordance with CFM recommendations to ensure the integrity of TRUEngine designated engines.

CFM reserves the right to decline an engine’s eligibility based on records review. Engines achieving designation will be added to the TRUEngine database and be immediately eligible for benefits.

This status remains in effect until the next shop visit, at which time you'll need to submit updated records for requalification. Please note that you may elect to opt out of the program at any time.

QUICK FACTS:

  • Contact your CFM Representative to initiate the process
  • Acknowledge your maintenance practices
  • Submit engine maintenance records to substantiate your acknowledgement
