CFM Statement: LEAP-1B Production

CFM Statement: LEAP-1B Production

CFM International has been in close coordination with Boeing and is aware of the temporary adjustment to the 737 MAX airplane production system.

At this point, there are no plans to decrease the production rate for the LEAP-1B engine that powers these airplanes.

The decision to maintain the current production rate was made to allow CFM to build on the momentum it has gained over the last year in meeting the historic LEAP ramp up requirements and will help ensure the stability of the global CFM supply chain.

The relationship between CFM and Boeing goes back more than 30 years; CFM engines have been the exclusive powerplant for the 737 Classic, Next-Generation 737, and the 737 MAX.

We have great confidence in Boeing and the 737 MAX and will continue our close coordination on this program.
