TOULOUSE, France – The first Airbus A319neo, powered by CFM International’s LEAP-1A engine, made its maiden flight on March 31st.
The five-hour flight was used to access the general handling of the aircraft and perform a main systems check. The engines performed flawlessly. The A319neo, registered as D-AVWA, is the smallest member of the A320neo family and will be based in Toulouse while it completes its flight test program.
