FARNBOROUGH, England — 13 July 2014 — CFM International, which has consistently maintained the highest production rate in the industry for the last 20 years, has been recognized by all three of its aircraft manufacturing customers.

Airbus named the company as its Best Performer – Propulsion for 2013 in recognition for CFM’s excellent industrial performance on Airbus serial programs and its sustainability. The CFM56-5B engine powers more than 55 percent of all Airbus A320ceo aircraft and the new LEAP-1A is an option on the new A320neo scheduled to enter commercial service in 2016. Overall, CFM has delivered more than 8,000 engines for Airbus programs.

Boeing named CFM its Propulsion Supplier of the Year in recognition for its exceptional performance and contributions to Boeing's success during 2013. CFM has been the sole engine provider for the Boeing 737 since 1982 and recently delivered the 10,000th CFM56-7B engine for the Next-Generation 737 family. The company is testing the LEAP-1B for the new 737 MAX, scheduled to enter service in 2017.

COMAC awarded CFM its Performance Excellence Gold Award in recognition of CFM's superior technical capability, dedication, hard work, professionalism, and customer concentric attitude. The LEAP-1C is the sole Western powerplant for the new COMAC C919. The company has received 400 aircraft orders to date and the airplane is currently scheduled to enter commercial service in 2018.

“Quality and reliability are the two attributes on which the CFM reputation has been built," said Jean-Paul Ebanga, president and CEO of CFM International. "It is especially gratifying to receive this accolade from all three of our airframe customers during CFM's 40th anniversary year; our commitment is to continue to deliver to those very high standards."
