CFM Named Engine Manufacturer of the Year

Published on 10th March 2014

CFM was honored with the Engine Manufactuer of the Year Award by Air Transport News at a ceremony in Istanbl, Turkey, on 9 March. The company was selected by a combination of a jury selection and on-line reader votes..

‘The jury did not have an easy task," said  Ulrich Schulte-Strathaus, jury chairperson.   "Across the world we are seeing a growing number of excellent CEOs reorienting the companies they lead towards even greater efficiency throughout the aviation value chain. We are honouring remarkable personalities, and impressive achievements of companies, but the entire aviation sector is becoming highly professional and efficient; the award winners in that sense represent an industry that is getting its act together.”

The Air Transport News Awards are an international prize which awards all the main categories of the air transport industry, including airlines, alliances, IT, manufacturing, and ground handling.

"We are deeply honored by the Air Transport News Engine Manufacturer of the Year Award which is really a fantastic start to the year of the CFM 40th anniversary. This recognition will reinforce our commitment to continue to always better serve the air transport market. We take it as a true testament to the faith the industry and our customers have in our products and in our ability to execute on our promises. On the behalf of all the entire CFM community, thank you very much.“ Jean Paul Ebanga, CFM, President & CEO
