CFM Books 319 New Orders During Paris Air Show; 2007 Orders Now Total 1,354 Engines

PARIS June 25, 2007 CFM International booked orders for 319* new CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines during the 2007 Paris Air Show at a value of approximately $2.7 billion over the life of the products. Total CFM56 orders for 2007 to date now stand at 1,354 engines.
CFM International (CFM) is a 50/50 joint company between Snecma (Safran Group) and General Electric Company and is the world's leading aircraft engine manufacturer, with more than 17,000 engines delivered to date.
A recap of the orders announced during the 47th Paris Air Show include:
Air France-KLM an order for CFM56-5B engines to power 18 Airbus A320 aircraft and CFM56-7B engines to power seven firm 737-800 aircraft. The two orders combined are valued at $340 million.
Afriqiyah Airways placed a $190 million order for CFM56-5B engines to power 14 Airbus A 319 / A320 aircraft scheduled for delivery between 2007 and 2009.
ALAFCO Aviation Lease and Finance Company (KSCC) purchased CFM56-5B engines to power seven Airbus A320 aircraft at a value of approximately $95 million.
Avianca ordered the CFM56-5B to power 33 Airbus A319/A320 aircraft in a $500 million engine order, including spare engines.
Indonesian carrier Lion Air ordered 40 additional CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737-900ER aircraft at a value of $540 million.
S7 Airlines announced a $510 million order for a total of 75 CFM56 engines to power new Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 aircraft.
