Congratulation to COMAC on the successful maiden flight of C919 flight test aircraft #104 on August 1. The 1 hour, 25 minute flight from Shanghai's Pudong international Airport was powered by two CFM LEAP-1C engines. The LEAP-1C is the sole Western powerplant for the new single-aisle aircraft being developed by Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China Ltd. This airplane joins three other aircraft in COMAC's extensive C919 certification flight test program, scheduled to culminate in first delivery in 2021.
