CFM logs $12.6 billion in new orders 

July 12, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – The momentum for CFM Internationals’ advanced LEAP engine family continue s to build as the company logged orders and commitments for 922 new engines ((742 LEAP & 180 CFM56) in recent weeks at a value of $12.6 billion at list price, nearly doubling its total 2012 order book to date, which now stands at 1,792.

United Continental Holdings orders LEAP-1B-powered 737 MAX aircraft; expands CFM56-7B fleet 

July 12, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England - United Continental Holdings, parent company of United Airlines, today announced a firm order for 100 advanced LEAP-1B-powered Boeing 737 MAX airplanes. At the same time, the airline also ordered 50 CFM56-7B-powered Boeing Next-Generation 737-900ER aircrft. The combined value of the engine order, along with a long-term service agreement, is approximately $5.0 billion U.S. at list price.

GECAS Signs MOU for CFM’s new PML maintenance product for lessors 

July 11, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England — GE Capital Aviation Service, the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE) today signed a Memorable of Understanding with CFM International to participate in the company’s unique new product offering for leasing companies called Portable Maintenance for Lessors (PML). The final agreement should be complete by year-end.

Avolon to order CFM-powered 737 MAX, Next-Generation aircraft 

July 11, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England - Dublin, Irelandbased aircraft leasing company Avolon today annouced that it plans to order LEAP-1B engines to power 15 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, along with CFM56-7BE engines to power 10 Next-Generation 737 aircraft. The total engine value is approximately $585 million U.S. at list price.

Juneyao Orders CFM56-5B Engines to Power A321 Aircraft 

July 11, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – China’s Juneyao Airlines today announced that is has selected CFM International’s CFM56-5B engine to power five new Airbus A321 aircraft. The engine order is valued at more than $100 million U.S. at list price and the airline is scheduled to begin taking delivery in 2013.

Aviation Capital Group places $450 million LEAP-1A engine order for A320neo 

July 11, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – Aviation Capital Group (ACG) has become the latest leasing company to select CFM International’s advanced LEAP-1A engine, announcing an order for engines to power 18 Airbus A320neo aircraft. These aircraft are part of a 30-airplane buy the company announced in November 2011. The firm engine order is valued at $450 million U.S. at list price.

CFM Statement on ALAFCO 737 MAX Ord 

July 10, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – CFM International is pleased by ALFACO’s commitment to purchase 20 CFM-powered Boeing 737 MAX aircraft and look forward to finalizing this order, along with Boeing, in the very near future. The final order will be valued at $500 million U.S. at list price.

GECAS intends to place $2.4 billion CFM engine order for Boeing aircraft 

July 10, 2012 – FARBOROUGH, England - GE Capital Aviation Service, the commercial aircraft leasing and financing arm of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), today announced commitments for 75 LEAP-1B-powered Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, in addition to an additional 25 CFM56-7B-powered Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft.

Engine Lease Finance Corporation signs MOU for new CFM Portable Maintenance program 

July 9, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – Engine Lease Finance Corporation has become the first spare engine lessor customer for CFM International's (CFM) new product offering for leasing companies called Portable Maintenance for Lessors (PML). The two companies signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with plans to sign a definitive agreement by year-end.

CFM logs 960 engine orders through June 

July 9, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – 2012 orders for CFM International’s CFM56 and LEAP product families reached 960 engines through June. These orders are valued at approximately $10 billion U.S. at list price.

Air Lease Corporation places $1.9 billion LEAP-1B order 

July 9, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – Air Lease Corporation (ALC) today announced an order for 60 LEAP-1B-powered Boeing 737 MAX 8 and 15 737 MAX 9 aircraft. The engine order is valued at approximately $1.9 billion U.S. at list price.

Virgin Australia orders LEAP-1B-powered 737 MAX aircraft 

July 7, 2012 – FARNBOROUGH, England – Virgin Australia has finalized a firm order for 23 advanced LEAP-1B-powered Boeing 737 MAX 8 airplanes. Virgin Australia has been a CFM customer since its official launch in August 2000 and currently operates a fleet of 68 CFM56-7B and -7BE powered Next Generation 737-700s and 737-800s.

P-8A Poseidon Completes Flutter Program 

July 29, 2011 – NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – The P-8A Poseidon moves another step forward to Operational Assessment next year, as the aircraft completes a major testing milestone. The P-8A Integrated Test Team (ITT) completed the clean flutter program in June and has begun loads testing.

Boeing Delivers First 737 with Performance Improvement Engines 

July 22, 2011 – Performance and drag improvements provided at no additional cost to customers SEATTLE, July 21, 2011 - The first Boeing [NYSE: BA] Next-Generation 737 with the certified performance improvement engines was delivered on a 737-800 to China Southern Airlines at Boeing Field in Seattle last week.

Boeing P-8A Poseidon Production Aircraft Completes 1st Flight 

July 20, 2011 – RENTON, Wash., July 19, 2011 – The first Boeing [NYSE: BA] P-8A Poseidon production aircraft completed its first flight on July 7, 2011, taking off from Renton Field and landing three hours later at Boeing Field in Seattle. The P-8A is the first of six low-rate initial production (LRIP) aircraft Boeing is building for the U.S. Navy as part of a $1.6 billion contract awarded in January.
