April 19, 2012 – WEST CHESTER, Ohio - The Qantas Group today announced that it has selected CFM International's advanced LEAP-1A engine to power 78 Airbus A320neo aircraft currently on order. The engine order is valued at $2.0 billion U.S. at list price, including spare engines.

April 5, 2010 – CINCINNATI, Ohio – Australian domestic carrier Virgin Blue has placed a firm order for 50 CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737 airplanes as part of a new fleet agreement comprising 50 Next-Generation aircraft, with a further 25 option aircraft, as well as securing 30 additional future purchase rights. The firm engine order is valued at approximately $700 million U.S. at list price.
April 28, 2009 – SEATTLE, Washington – CFM International today launched the new CFM56-7BE engine enhancement program scheduled to enter airline service in mid-2011 to coincide with Boeing Next-Generation 737 airframe improvements also announced today.
April 27, 2009 – MANAMA, BAHRAIN – Bahrain's national carrier Gulf Air has chosen CFM56-5B engines to power 15 new Airbus A320 family aircraft scheduled for delivery between late 2009 and 2012.
April 3, 2008 – EKATERINBURG, Russia – April 3, 2008 Ural Airlines today announced that it has selected the CFM56-5B/3 engine to power seven new Airbus A320 aircraft scheduled to begin delivery in 2012.
April 1, 2008 – KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Malaysia Airlines has announced an order for up to 55 CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737-800 aircraft to replace its current Boeing 737-400 fleet. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2010 and the engine order for the 35 firm aircraft is valued at $475 million at list price.
April 19, 2007 – EVENDALE, Ohio April 19, 2007 Japan Transocean Air (JTA), a part of the JAL Group, has ordered 10 firm, 20 option CFM56-3 Advanced Upgrade kits. The value of the firm order is approximately $15 million at list price.
April 17, 2007 – EVENDALE, Ohio April 17, 2007 Continental Airlines has ordered 42 Enhanced Performance Kits for its CFM56-3 engine fleet. The order is valued at approximately $20 million dollars.
April 17, 2007 – EVENDALE, Ohio April 17, 2007 Mexico's new low – fare carrier, vivaAerobus, has started operation of CFM56-3 engines incorporating CFM International's Advanced Upgrade. The airline has ordered kits to upgrade its entire fleet of 10 CFM56-3 engines.
April 26, 2006 – SINGAPORE April 26, 2006 Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise (SALE) today announced a firm order for 10 more Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft powered by CFM56-7B engines scheduled for delivery between early 2009 and late 2010. The firm engine order is valued at approximately $140 million at list price. The deal also includes 10 options and 10 purchase rights
April 20, 2006 – EVENDALE, OHIO April 20, 2006 Southwest Airlines today announced a $1 billion order (at list price) for CFM56-7B engines to power 79 firm Boeing Next-Generation 737-700 aircraft. The airline is scheduled to take delivery of the new aircraft between 2007 and 2012.
April 18, 2006 – MUMBAI, INDIA April 18, 2006 GoAir, India's newest low – cost carrier, has selected CFM56-5B engines to power its new fleet of 10 firm, 10 option Airbus A320 family aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-2007 and the firm engine order valued at $120 million at list price.
April 3, 2006 – EVENDALE, OHIO April 3, 2006 Hamburg International has finalized the purchase of CFM56-5B engines to power 14 Airbus A319 aircraft in a $170 million order.
April 9, 2005 – LARNACA, Cyprus April 9, 2005 Eurocypria, CFM International and Boeing are celebrating the airline's 10,000th departure with CFM56-7B-powered Boeing 737-800s. The milestone was achieved in just over two years of service; the airline took delivery of its first airplane in February 2003 and now operates a fleet of four 737s.
April 9, 2004 – GUANGZHUO, CHINA April 9, 2004 China Southern Airlines today announced that it has selected the CFM56-5B engine to power 21 Airbus A320 family aircraft. The order, which includes engines for 15 A320s and six A319s, is valued at just over $250 million.
April 16, 2002 – EVENDALE, OHIO April 16, 2002 China Eastern Airlines today announced its selection of the CFM56-5B to power 20 new Airbus A320 family aircraft in an engine order valued at $200 million. The airline will take delivery of the first two in December of this year with the remaining deliveries scheduled to continue through late 2005.
